This incident caused the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
